Training Programme in RT-PCR

Real time PCR is a variation of the standard PCR technique used to quantify DNA or messenger RNA (mRNA) in a sample. Using Sequence Specific Primers, The relative number of copies of a particular DNA or RNA sequence can be determined. We use the term relative since this technique tends to be used to compare relative copy numbers between tissues, organisms, or different genes relative to a specific Housekeeping Gene.

We are happy to announce Regular Hands-on Training in RT-PCR (Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction) Technique, designed to train mid–career technologists.

There will be sessions to refresh the theory and the trainees will be given opportunity to carry out the technique themselves.

Eligibility: UG/PG in Biotechnology and other Life sciences
Duration: Three days -10 AM to 4 PM
Training cost: Rs.3000/

Simple accommodation if needed will be provided at a nominal cost. Training shall be provided in two batches every month (10th to12th & 17th to19th). Number of participants in each batch is limited to five.
